Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OVRIT("the Service"), operated by [LEGAL NAME — please update in src/lib/legal.ts] ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who you contract with
The Service is provided by [LEGAL NAME — please update in src/lib/legal.ts]. You must have authority to accept these Terms — either on your own behalf if you are of legal age in your jurisdiction, or on behalf of the organisation you represent.
2. What OVRIT is
OVRIT is a private self-reflection tool that helps you notice patterns in your relationships, log daily check-ins, run validated self-assessments (PMWI-SF and RAS), and prepare grounding scripts. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for professional advice, therapy, or emergency services.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive;
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code;
- circumvent technical limits, rate limits, or access controls;
- upload malware, probe or scan our infrastructure, or scrape data;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations.
4. Intellectual property
[LEGAL NAME — please update in src/lib/legal.ts] retains all rights in the Service, including software, interface, documentation, and branding. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose within your subscription plan. Content you create inside the Service (notes, check-ins, journals) remains yours; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service to you.
5. Payments, subscriptions, taxes, refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment mechanics, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund handling are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. Refund eligibility is described on our Refund Policy page.
6. Service availability & warranties
We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every requirement. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement).
7. AI outputs
The Service uses AI models to generate written reflections ("Pattern Maps", "Exit Scripts", and similar). AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete and are for personal reflection only. They are not clinical advice. You are responsible for how you act on them and for verifying anything you rely on.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify [LEGAL NAME — please update in src/lib/legal.ts] against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate access for the reasons described above. On termination, your access ends and your data will be deleted or anonymised in line with our Privacy Notice.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be surfaced inside the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where [LEGAL NAME — please update in src/lib/legal.ts] is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
